Job Details

The primary discipline focus is NC Programming and Automated Equipment and Standard Tooling. Secondary discipline focus is Tooling, Tool Engineering, & Corrective Action. The Team support of a Manufacturing Engineer including fabrication support, assembly floor support, tooling, corrective action, process/continuous improvement, work sequencing, and work around plan executions are included in the day-to-day requirements. These skills will be expanded and matured by working with the guidance of Staff and Sr. Staff level Manufacturing Engineers while support the F35 Program and Marietta Site products. Supporting integration of all elements of production, including blueprints, specifications, tooling, equipment, training, inspection, methods and materials. Assess, develop, and implement changes to maintain safety, improve quality, reduce cost, streamline planning, bolster work instructions, and maintain production commitments. Coordinate incorporation of new configuration changes and/or new manufacturing processes, tools, and plans. Integrate LEAN and 6S principles into all aspects of tasks and responsibilities. The individual will investigate issues, develop root cause analysis, and initiate corrective actions as required to support Program objectives. Some travel will be required periodically to support supplier activity related to any and all aspects of production including corrective actions, process improvements, tooling, and configuration changes. Utilize computer and graphics systems for efficient accomplishment of primary missions. Provide technical guidance for all areas of manufacturing

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace type manufacturing, assembly, and/or fabrication
- Experience with NC Programming and Automated Equipment such as PAR/MAG auto-drill, Delta Sigma Fastener Projection Systems and Part Markers.
- Experience with Tooling Operations for Depot Maintenance
- Experience with F-35 command media, drawings, planning, process specifications and component assembly processes
- Experience with manufacturing concepts, planning work instructions, technical writing, tool concept, tool design, and/or tool make as well as tool family relationship and development

- Previous experience with CATIA V5

- Experience with metrics and briefings

- Experience with resolving engineering, planning, tooling, assembly, and fabrication problems

- Experience with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired skills
- Direct previous manufacturing engineering, production planning, corrective action, tool engineering, and affordability/producibility improvement experience is a strong plus.
- CATIA specific experience and the ability to functionally demonstrate skills are preferred over other graphic experience.
- Functional skills in PDM MS Access, MS Project, PR, DIMS/ECRS, ICA, and AIMS are considered desirable
- Individual must be highly motivated, self-starting, and exhibit the ability/willingness to make decisions at the appropriate level while working well in a team environment and bringing assignments to closure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills must be able to be demonstrated
