Job Details

Provide Manufacturing Engineering technical support within Executive Aircraft Center within Connecticut Assembly & Flight Operations, ensuring aircraft and components are completed according to blueprint requirements and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Must be able to work in a union environment and ensure accurate and thorough communications with key internal customers and employees. This person creates and maintains work instructions and cost tickets to keep final assembly and hangar operations flowing seamlessly.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering support of VH aircraft build while adhering to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements
• Responsible for initiating and executing high visibility projects with little involvement from supervision
• Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring standard work and Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) requirements are met
• Ensure that the technical issues are resolved prior to delivery or aircraft in a manner that fully satisfies customer
• Assist Operations with root cause investigations and corrective action plans to drive producibility improvements
• Initiate engineering cost projects in support of reducing direct labor as well as SRR and AR

Basic Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Catia Software. Solumina G6 & G7, PMC, SAP P1S, Knowledge of basic airframe structure. Understanding of engineering drawings and VH aircraft and protocol

Bachelors degree from an accredited college with one or more years of Assembly and flight operations manufacturing engineering experience

• Has a solid understanding of Solumina work instructions

• Works with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus
• Has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role—continuing to develop specialized knowledge
