Job Details

This individual will be responsible for developing and refining the system level approach to satisfying survivability performance requirements, and balancing across other system performance measures. Will represent the program in customer working groups to steer the system development for survivability, interfacing with customer and other government organizations. Initiates and leads trade studies for survivability technologies, to develop the overall technical solution. Effort includes: Oversight of sensor design, integration, and test activities, Coordinating of sensor integration activities with functional, program management, and customers, Coordinating SOW, Performance Based Spec , and ICD updates with suppliers and internal disciplines- Coordinating supplier programmatics (i.e. delivery schedule, hardware configurations, risk assessments), Interfacing effectively with multiple functional groups including: engineering finance, designers, subcontracts, planning, and quality personnel during assembly and inspection process. Coordination of performance trade studies using an integrated flight simulation (IFS), Coordination internal manpower, milestones, IMS inputs, variance reports, etc. Individual will be responsible for requirements and integration and test activities. Travel may be required to support customer coordination and testing efforts

Low Observable (LO) Engineers are charged with the task of assuring that IR and RF signatures of weapons and related platforms and subsystems are defined, minimized to specified levels, and controlled through the design, production and fielding phases of development. This requires the performance of design analyses, and related trade studies pertaining to material selection, platform configuration and IR and RF phenomenology. Low signature design solutions are coordinated and managed with the various program disciplines and with associated suppliers. Verification of platform low observable characteristics are achieved via comprehensive RCS testing conducted at both closed indoor ranges and outdoor test facilities

Candidates for LO Engineer positions may have various experience and skill set backgrounds ranging from EO expertise to RF and MMW scattering phenomena. Knowledge of complex low observable design and material technologies is valuable. Specific knowledge of radar absorbing material, paints, seals, and their respective corrosion resistant properties is of interest. Nose and conformal radome design and design awareness of radome, antenna and platform RF interactions is also valuable

Candidate must have experience with RCS, Low Observable engineering, Matlab, and Simulink

Must have a secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years
