The role: The successful appointee will engage in research activities of the School focusing on signal processing in the context of microwave and photonics research and will contribute to teaching, course coordination and student supervision. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player who can operate at the leading edge of research with interest in applying and developing new signal processing techniques well suited to advance the school’s microwave and photonics systems.

An attractive startup-grant is available for successful candidates to jump start their career in the School.

The person: Applicants should possess a PhD in the area of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent discipline. A demonstrated track record in signal processing research and ability to solve signal processing problems in practice is essential. For appointment at Level C it is expected that you will have national recognition and a developing international profile for research in the field through publication in high ranking refereed journals as well as evidence of success in obtaining external research funds.

Remuneration: This is a full-time continuing appointment available at Academic Level B or Level C. Appointment level will be commensurate to qualifications and experience.

The remuneration package for Level B will be in the range AUD$92,143 - $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$107,807 - $128,020 p.a.).

The remuneration package for Level C will be in the range $112,874 - $130,151 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$132,063 - $152,277 p.a.).
