The Microwave Department of IMT Atlantique (previously Telecom Bretagne) invites applications for a tenured position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.

  • The candidate will develop an expertise in the field of radio propagation channel modelling, from a theoretical and practical point of view. He/She will be expected to establish and sustain an independent and externally funded research program
  • He/she must have outstanding ability to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the field of electromagnetism, microwave design, propagation, antennas... He/She will also take part in related interdisciplinary teaching activities such as telecommunication, software defined radio and engineering approaches, depending on his/her skills.

IMT Atlantique is one of the most prestigious graduate engineering schools ("Grandes Ecoles") in France. It is a public institution, member of the Institut Mines-Telecom, where teaching and research activities are well harmonized and leaded by top class scientists from different domains of expertise. Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree and excellent academic or industrial credentials. Priority will be given to candidates with research interests in the areas of radio propagation for future wireless applications including but not limited to channel modelling for telecommunication (from HF to THz), vision, wearable sensors and environmental sensing. Exceptional candidates, however, may also be considered in related interdisciplinary areas of electrical and computer engineering.
