Key Functions:

  • Support and conduct engineering and development on system concepts, prototypes, complex systems of national importance. Task assignments may include, but not limited to the following acquisition life cycle activities:

  • Development of system concepts

  • Conduct threat assessments, risk analysis, and modeling security threats

  • Elicitation of system security requirements

  • Define system architecture and specify system security designs

  • Instrument software security assurance practice and supply chain risk management

  • Implement system security test and evaluation

  • Assess system / program risks and recommend risk mitigation actions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master of Science (MS) in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) degrees

  • 5 years of related work experience

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Federal and DoD acquisition regulations, policies, and practices

  • Experience in engineering, designing, and implementing complex systems

  • Experience in software engineering and security coding practices

  • Familiarity with system and software modeling languages, i.e., SysML, UML, or TLA+

  • Experience in IT service design

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and technical skills

  • Strong communication skills, i.e., verbal, writing, and presentation

  • (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
