Successful candidates will provide sensor systems engineering support (design, engineering, and test) for several ground-based radar-related projects. Candidates will engage in activities with minimal supervision and work as part of a team in the design, development, integration, and test of advanced radar systems. Candidates should have a clear understanding of how the sensor technology impacts the entire system, the end-to-end process to acquire new technologies and the operational utility of the system. Responsibilities will include performing trade studies, design, modeling and simulation, implementation and test. Candidates will also be expected to perform research to advance the state of the art in sensor technologies. Candidates must have working knowledge of radar technologies related to ground-based systems.












Required Qualifications:
We seek candidates with exceptional technical background in sensor systems engineering and sensor signal processing/phenomenology. Skills including sensor engineering, probability and statistics, signal detection, estimation, classification, system modeling and design are mandatory. Experience in radar is required and experience with other sensor systems is desired. 

Candidates must possess good communication skills and will interface directly with customers and contractor experts. In addition, a successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications:
A working knowledge of sensor array processing methods (beam forming, STAP), antennas, and propagation is desired. Candidates must be self-directed and be able to define focused technical efforts to enable assessments and maturation of sensor technologies. They must be able to build successful relationships with government clients and their contractor teams. Outstanding written and oral communications skills. Candidates should have a masters degree in electrical engineering, physics or mathematics and 5 years of experience in radar technologies and radar related signal processing. Candidates with doctorate degrees in electrical engineering, physics or mathematics are preferred.


Minimum Qualifications:
BS and 8 years related experience.
