The CSAI Department has a business need to enhance and strengthen our current capabilities with autonomous systems in order to provide our sponsors with more impactful solutions. The CSAI Department is seeking a highly motivated project leader experienced in autonomous systems and robotics to expand our work program and respond to growing sponsor interest in this area. This position requires collaboration, communication, and coordination with current CSAI efforts to ensure the delivery of fully integrated solution to our sponsors. This position requires a domain knowledge in autonomous systems being developed across industry, academia, and the government, as well as an awareness of sponsor needs and areas where MITRE can have impact. This position also requires strong project management and leadership skills.
Key Functions:
-Lead projects and tasks towards successful execution and growth
-Mentor new staff to make leaders in this area, building MITREs bench
-Develop and propose new research directions in autonomous systems in support of MITREs internal research and sponso




 












Minimum Qualifications:
BS and 8 years related experience. Defines work programs greater than themselves. Technical thought leader across department.


 


Required Qualifications:


Understand the breadth of autonomous systems across the different domains (DoD, Services, Intelligence Community, DHS, Industry and Academia)


Articulate autonomy specific challenges (in perception, reasoning, behaviors, collaborations), critical issues, gaps as well as familiarity with the current state of the art in the field


Preferred Qualifications:


Ability to engage and interact effectively with senior government executives, program managers, and contractors


Strong presentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills


Ability to work both independently and with a team
