Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom power supply/power system hardware and/or other electrical components. Develops designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven superior performance in specification, development and testing of power systems, circuit design analysis and testing
- Subject Matter Expert in circuit simulation employing PSpice, LTSpice, and other industry accepted simulation programs
- Ability to perform highly complex simulation models for both conceptual power system design approaches and existing systems
- Modeling capability for complex pulse load systems to determine noise components and filtering requirements
- Subject Matter Expert in DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC converter design
- Expert level circuit analysis skills
- Hands on experience: supporting PCB layout, working in the lab managing sub-system modifications for specification compliance, qualifying, alternate part for discontinued components, and solving oscillation issues
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Desired skills
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineer or a related field
- Minimum 25 years experience and proven superior performance in specification, development and testing of power systems, circuit design analysis and testing
- Subject Matter Expert in circuit simulation employing PSpice, LTSpice, and other industry accepted simulation programs
- Ability to perform highly complex simulation models for both conceptual power system design approaches and existing systems
- Proven track record in power systems design analysis and testing on programs such as AEGIS and Space Fence
- Hands on experience: supporting PCB layout, working in the lab managing sub-system modifications for specification compliance, qualifying, alternate part for discontinued components, and solving oscillation issues
- Has an established reputation and excellent working relationship across RMS locations including RMS-Syracuse
- Proven ability to effectively prepare and present program status to senior technical, financial management personnel and the customer
- Proven ability to effectively manage suppliers through product/program development and design reviews
