At RCMT, we believe the key to success is working with our clients to define the correct technical staff and resources necessary to assure each project phase can be executed within the client's guidelines. This requires technical personnel with a depth of experience in all phases of project execution. Lead Electrical Engineer On an overall project basis will provide technical guidance, review of work, and maintain schedule & budget for the electrical discipline.



+ Estimating projects and preparing proposals for power delivery systems or power plant projects.



+ Assure technical accuracy and quality of all work performed in the electrical department.



+ Assign personnel to projects with the capabilities required to successfully complete the assigned tasks.



+ Provide planning so that current and future Client requirements are met. Review calculation methods to assure that they comply with all current regulatory and project requirements.



+ Review and approve electrical design calculations for electrical loads, short circuit and device coordination studies, voltage drop, and etc.



+ Prepare, review and/or interpret drawings, specifications and vendor submittals.



+ Develop scopes of work, assumptions and clarifications, and man-hour estimates in response to Requests for Proposals.



Qualifications:



+ 12+ years hands on experience as an electrical engineer working with high voltage substations, in electrical utilities, or another related industry.



+ Candidate must be experienced in participating on engineering teams and multiple projects.



+ Must work well with supervisors, other electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural engineers, designers and CAD operators.



+ Candidate must be knowledgeable in physical substation design methods and their application. (i.e. substation buswork design; equipment egress/ingress; hardware selection and BOM).



+ Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards and software programs, such as NESC, ASME, NEC, ANSI, IEEE. AISC, CYME and ETAP.



+ Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills.



+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with power related courses, required.



+ Professional Engineering Registration (PE) preferred.



+ Must be familiar with construction methods and procedures.



+ Willingness for local travel.
