Position Summary:

This position will primarily provide electromechanical design engineering support for VP truck refrigeration units\. This support will be truly global in nature\.Collaboration with worldwide TK employees, vendors, dealers, and customers will be frequent\.Close relationship and collaboration with other teams and engineering centers of our Strategic Business Unit will be key to maximize the synergies between business\.

Other responsibilities include providing engineering expertise for system design, design verification calculations, component design and selection, project scheduling and documentation, testing and evaluation, and knowledge of relevant industry standards\.

Principal Responsibilities:

1\.Apply technical and practical knowledge of electromechanicalengineering fundamentals to create excellent products that meet reliability, schedule, cost, and quality goals\. Apply systematic problem\-solving skills to define issues, identify root causes, develop, qualify and implement corrective actions in a timely manner\.

2\.Evaluate/test systems and components for reliability, safety and performance and make recommendations\. Develop test plans \(for components, sub\-systems and systems\) for reliability, durability, performance and safety\.

3\. Lead the electrical engineering VP\-Truck team to achieve creativity, productivity and efficient use of engineering electrical resources\. Develop high\-potential talent that increase technical “bench strength

4\. Identify and develop necessary relationships with TK personnel \(sales, marketing, management, manufacturing, supply management, service and engineering\) as well as vendors and outside technical resources\.Use these relationships for business needs as well as personal development\.

5\.Maintain orderly project records and unit bills of material\.Communicate and document work progress as required through verbal and written means\.

6\.Value and integrate conflicting worldwide input into critical decisions\.

7\.Maintain current technical skills and understanding of professional standards\.Take responsibility for the continuing development of his/her career\.

8\.Assessment of environment impact ofdesigned products and look for energy efficiency and minimize effect in environment\.

Scope & Dimensions:

\-Designs and develops complete refrigeration products/systems/components, conducts development of new products and extensions of current products and components\.Pursues new development in all engineering and manufacturing technologies\.

\- Provide electromechanical design and development of new products, to meet engineering requirements for schedule, direct product cost, project cost, product quality and reliability\.

\- Provide solutions that meet the specifications, resolve issues related to the development and lead all documentation of the results\.

Requirements for this position include a BS degree in industrial/electromechanicalengineering, computer skills, excellent communication skills\. Demonstrated success working in a multicultural team environment\.Experience leading engineering initiatives/departments/teams in a design engineering environment\. Additional experience inRefrigeration system knowledge, basic electrical background, and Pro\-E modeling skills are desired, along with second language proficiency \(preference is for Spanish\)\.
