MITRE's Cyber Infrastructure Department has a need for a passionate, skilled cyberspace operations engineer to provide Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO) support to Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) headquarters in Colorado Springs. This position will involve working directly with the A5 to shape and guide strategic and tactical enterprise efforts that enhance AF/DoD OCO missions.

Key Functions:

  • Identify capabilities necessary for the AF/DoD to conduct full offensive cyber operations.

  • Generate requirements, along with supporting technical views, key performance parameters, and key system attributes that support OCO missions.

  • Coordinate with 24AF, USCYBERCOM, AFLCMC, and other DoD entities to deconflict requirements and support acquisition efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong Knowledge of the Air Force Cyber domain organization and stakeholders

  • OCO-related technical expertise

  • Ability to introduce systems security engineering principles through the entire development process requirements analysis and decomposition, system design, critical design, implementation, and verification

  • A demonstrated ability to drive change and create impact   
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field and 8 years of experience.  

  • Candidate demonstrates an ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts comparable to those obtained with a Master's degree in a relevant field of study.  

  • Candidate understands the missions, domains and challenges of MITRE customers and is fully responsible for deliverables-including definition, completion, and technical quality, as well as assuring consistency across the responsibility span. In addition, candidate is able to define projects or programs greater than themselves. 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS and 5 years of related experience.
