MITRE's Cyber Infrastructure Department is seeking a lead
cyber engineer to support United States Air Force (AF) and Joint Cyber
missions, as well as enterprise modernization efforts. This position will
involve working with cyber domain stakeholders to guide strategic and tactical
efforts that enhance AF/DoD missions. Additionally, the successful candidate
will influence the design of cyber resilient systems, including those that
support the nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3) enterprise. 

key Functions:

  • Engineer cyber resilient systems using techniques such
    as deception, redundancy, and non-persistence.

  • Develop technical architectures that support defensive
    and offensive cyber missions.

  • Perform system-of-systems engineering analysis for
    architectures that achieve mission objectives under degraded conditions.
  • Guide the acquisition of cyber capabilities that
    augment existing operational requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • An
    understanding of advanced cyber threats targeting enterprises, along with
    the tools, tactics, and procedures used by those threats
  • Knowledge
    of Computer Network Exploitation, Computer Network Attack and Computer
    Network Defense tools and techniques
  • Experience in modeling and simulation of
    computer/network systems 
  • Experience
    building, managing, or performing daily analytic tasks within Cyber Security
    Operations Centers or Cyber Incident Response Teams
  • Applicants must be able to obtain and
    maintain a security clearance
  • Familiarity
    with NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53 r4
  • OSCP,
    CEH, GCIH, CISSP or equivalent certification.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience.
