The Air Force communications and information systems are vulnerable to new threats that will require the ingenuity and brain power of premiere crypto engineers. MITRE's Crypto and Cyber Missions Systems team, including the candidate for this position, will lead the investigation of technical and operation solutions needed to overcome these threats.











Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field and 8 years of experience. Candidate demonstrates an ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts comparable to those obtained with a Master's degree in a relevant field of study. Candidate understands the missions, domains and challenges of MITRE customers and is fully responsible for deliverables-including definition, completion, and technical quality, as well as assuring consistency across the responsibility span. In addition, candidate is able to define projects or programs greater than themselves.




The candidate must be able to work closely with the AF sponsor, AF/NSA research labs, trusted vendor community, and members of the AF/DoD operational community.  




In addition, the candidate will need to show the ability to:  determine the requirements discovery methodologies, conduct capability gaps analysis, design new systems, comprehend the process of NSA high assurance encryption (symmetric/asymmetric) and evaluate the applicability of NSA certification processes.
