Description: The Cybersecurity, Information Protection, and Hardware Evaluation Research Lab (CIPHER) of the Georgia Tech Research Institute is seeking someone with 1 to 5 years of experience whose primary responsibility will be in design, coding and testing of secure web application software. Candidates must enjoy working with open source software and cutting edge technologies. Candidates will contribute to sponsored research projects and have an opportunity to interact with other scientists and engineers.

Research Engineer/Scientist I

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related area.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen, no foreign ties
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD Security clearance. 
  • 1 to 5 years experience in applicable areas
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or related area
  • Willing to pursue advanced degree
  • Technical diagnostic expertise including problem investigation, reproduction, and resolution skills
  • Ability to acquire new skills efficiently
  • Thrives in collaborative environment
  • Cross-browser UI design experience
  • Java Web frameworks (Java 7)
  • JDBC (SQL) with Oracle database
