Dynamic Components Production and Field Support is seeking a motivated engineer to take the role of IPT Lead and CAM on the CMHP CH148 Transmission engineering team reporting to the Transmission Engineering Team Manager. Candidate will contribute to all aspects of transmission system program, customer and production support. The project includes these tasks performed by the team; design improvements, field support (repairs, troubleshooting and safety actions), aftermarket support , flight safety, and reliability and maintainability issues for all production and out of production aircraft models. This position routinely interfaces with other functional areas such as propulsion, blades, flight controls, airframe, avionics and electrical. Responsibilities shall include coordination with DSS and CSS Programs, Certification Office, Aircraft and Product Safety, DCMA, Material and Process, Quality, and LSA. The candidate will be responsible to lead and support the team working on; significant tasks, projects, and issue resolution for drive systems on the CMHP and S-92 Helicopter product lines. Develop and or improve products, pursue cost savings, and facilitate manufacturing operations. Regulatory requirements (FAA) and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development, in particular aftermarket support in-service and at overhaul. Field support issues resolution. Will have responsibility to direct work of other team members via the IPT process, and be responsible for task management duties
The candidate will be responsible for these EVMS / CAM tasks:
Host weekly Transmission engineering IPT meeting
Monthly status-ing of all Transmission Team activities
Generate Change Request using primavera logics, supported by SOW and estimates
Maintain updated charge number log
Efficient use COS & Primavera
Support design team to generate variance reports
Provide update estimates to the Program’s financial risk & opts tracker, Support weekly systems Eng. Systems Inquire Report (SIR) meetings.
IPT Lead Responsibilities:
Lead the Transmission, Rotors & Blades IPT to meet contractual requirements
Manage the Transmission, Rotors, & Blades Cost & Schedule
Generate / Present Change Request supporting IPT’s against baseline primavera master schedule
Monthly statusing off all activities
Coordinating all engineering projects with functional team, Ops & purchasing.,
Coordinate execution of all projects with the Program, Ops,Task Managers & the Customer
Create/submit bottoms ups for LOE’s, etc
Provide technical communication with the Program Chief Eng. & Air Vehicle Lead on all engineering projects
Risk Cube Tracking: Maintain an updated risk registry of all Transmission risk (financial, cost & schedule)
Support weekly systems Eng. risk meeting
Operations Support: Provide detail SOW to Operations of Transmission changes tied to each Block Upgrade:
Engineering Related Changes / Support: (EI’s, & EC’s)
Maintain an updated EC tracker of ALL Transmission related EC’s & EI’s weekly
Coordinate with designers, checkers, approvers on the impact of EC & commit release need in order to not impact production build or operations upgrade schedule/plan
Communicate with the Program & impacted IPT’s on each engineering change
Certification team on changes impacted customer owner A/C’s
CMO ISS on changes requiring Engineering Change Proposal
Support daily Configuration Change Board discussing all Transmission related changes
Coordinate with M.E & DAP to ensure appropriate planning & requirements are in place to support operations
Communicate & coordinate with ODA to ensure alignment exist on any proposed changes

Basic Qualifications
BS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautics/ Aerospace or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in related field. MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred but not required. Skills required- Basic EV Training, Estimate & Schedule Development, Advanced Data Usage, Premivera, MS Project

Evaluate mechanical components and functionality, familiar with standard design processes, structural evaluation, and project management. Strong interpersonal skills as a member of an IPT in a highly customer focused environment. Projects experience in new product development, and manufacturing and field technical support for current and mature production aircraft.
- Identify design solutions to customer or manufacturing issues
- Perform Preliminary and Detail Designs using CATIA including Parts List and
- Formulate project plans and schedules using BOE’s
- Execute projects
- Formulate/support AOG/Field Technical Request to customer expectations
- Prepare Engineering Instructions for production and field related issues
- Catia V5, Cadra, & Solumina
- Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and GD&T principles
- Basic understanding of structural analysis
