Seeking an experienced engineer for assignment to the International Blackhawk (IBH) System Engineering (SE) Team. The primary responsibility for this position is to support the IBH Chief System Engineer in the management and execution of the System Engineering efforts on the IBH Programs. Secondarily the position will report directly to the System Engineering functional manager and will have daily supervisory responsibility over all SE personnel assigned to support IBH programs

The responsibilities of the SE team include, but are not limited to: Requirements Development and Management, Risk Management, System Integration and Issue Resolution, Verification Planning, Trade Study planning and support, and Technical Review coordination in support of the various IBH programs.

The IBH SE Manager will work closely with the IBH Chief System Engineer, the IBH Program Manager, and the various Project Engineers to plan and oversee the system engineering work in support of the various IBH program. The individual will be responsible for coordination of technical efforts in accordance with the SE project SOW, CDRLs, the project IMP, and the project IMS. The individual should have experience and an understanding of Earned Value Management

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering discipline is required. Formal education in System Engineering and/or engineering Master of Science (MS) degree is a plus. 14+ years of experience in system engineering, in the analysis, design and/or test of helicopter systems is desired

This job requires an understanding of the operation and interrelationships aircraft systems; an appreciation for the impact that configuration or requirements changes may have on performance related attributes, cost and schedule. The individual will need to be able to work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure the successful integration of design solutions and changes. The candidate shall have solid project management and communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

Desired skills
The candidate must be well organized and possess PC skills and the ability to accommodate changing priorities on a daily basis is a must. Experience and proficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS is favorable. Experience interfacing with international customers is favorable. Previous experience and skills with supervising personnel is desired. An active security clearance is desired.

Travel: there is the opportunity for international travel to PZL Mielec Poland, our international S70i Blackhawk manufacturing facility, and other foreign Customers, such as Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Chile; 10% travel may be expected
