Job Details

The School of Arts and Sciences at Gwynedd Mercy University invites applications for a full-time faculty member and program coordinator for the Computer Information Science Program to begin August 2018.

A minimum of a master’s degree in computer science is required. Although many areas of specialization would be suitable, candidates with expertise and/or industry experience in emerging technologies are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have higher education teaching experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, advising and mentoring of students and research in the discipline. The emphasis for program coordination lies in intentional and sustainable growth of the program through innovative curricular and co-curricular offerings, as well as program assessment and interdisciplinary curriculum development.

Gwynedd Mercy University believes that diversity in our campus community enriches the educational experience of its students by providing them with the opportunity to learn from individuals of various backgrounds. Because of this belief, Gwynedd Mercy strongly encourages applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups who are committed to our mission to apply for our faculty openings. Please visit for information regarding our mission, core values, and beliefs.

For full consideration, applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vita, a list of three professional references, teaching evaluations, and a statement of teaching philosophy by December 1, 2017.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Candidates chosen for campus interviews will be expected to provide official undergraduate and graduate transcripts before they can be hired.
