Job Responsibilities:

 

The Division of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Louisiana State University (LSU)-Baton Rouge invites applications for a full-time undergraduate instructor position beginning January 2018.

 

The CSE division serves around 550 computer science (CS) undergraduate majors. CS majors must choose a concentration from a selection of four structured study plans: CS and a Second Discipline, Software Engineering, Data Science and Analytics, and Cloud Computing and Networking. The B.S. degree program is accredited through ABET (abet.org). Through its CS course offerings, the division supports not only the CS curriculum requirements but the CS minor as well. Additionally it provides required CS courses for other curricula and for select minors such as digital media, robotics, and eCommerce.

 

Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to, providing faculty instruction for undergraduate CS credit courses, academic advising of undergraduate students, contributing to curriculum matters and participating in various recruitment and retention initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Master’s degree Computer Science or other relevant discipline. Applicants must have earned at least 18 credit hours in graduate CS coursework. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
