This exciting and challenging position will be in the support of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program Information Assurance
requirements as a member of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Information Systems & Technology (IS&T). Successful candidate will be able to develop certification and accreditation (C&A) packages for information systems, networks and applications based on the Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF). The candidate must have a working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual Chapter 8 as well as the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The candidate must have knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with IS security. Must have experience with the development, implementation, and maintenance of computer security plans. The candidate will be responsible for systems security, testing and system accreditation activities for multiple program areas. The Information Assurance Officer (IAO) is responsible for providing on-site information assurance/security support at the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Integrated Test Force at PAX River, MD and Edwards AFB. The IAO leads and coordinates all DoD certification and accreditation activities for the JSF Flight Test Network at PAX River and Edwards AFB, monitors and validates risks, vulnerability, threat assessments, and ensures that any network configuration
changes are properly coordinated and approved by the
Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA). Additionally, the IAO
performs daily Information Assurance functions and is responsible for the following tasks per DODI 8500.2 to include:
• Collecting and reporting status, coordinating issue resolution of the 8500 checklist items
• Ensuring that Program Operations and Support has the required IA related procedures
• Verifying that IA related procedures and audits are being performed
• Performing vulnerability assessment of new releases
• Reviewing vulnerability reports and coordinating required fixes, remediation and/or mitigation efforts with the appropriate
System Administrator (SA) and/or Subject Matter Experts
(SMEs) for resolution for identified issues
• Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) to mitigate and manage these risks and track mitigation strategies as implemented by the developers
• Ensuring that all JSF FTN users to include privileged users
have the requisite DoD 8570 IA training and are aware of IA
responsibilities
• Ensuring that the installation of software, hardware, and
firmware comply with IA security guidelines
• Ensuring all SW/HW installations are coordinated and
documented through the configuration management process and
approved in advance by the JSF FTN DAA
• Developing and maintaining JSF FTN information system
recovery and business continuity processes to meet DoD 8500
• Maintaining all IA related documentation to ensure that it is
current and accurate
• Enforcing all DoD IA policies and procedures as defined by the
certification and accreditation documentation
• Implements and enforces DOD (8500.2, 5200.2-R, etc.), and
Lockheed Martin security policies and directives
• Oversees intrusion detection, boundary protection and
vulnerability assessment operations to defend the JSF
• Store and present data and metrics for use by senior leaders
to conduct Operational Risk Management (ORM) decisions on the
network security posture
• Perform proactive security functions established to deter,
detect, isolate, contain, and recovering from information system
(IS) and network security intrusions and mitigating known
network vulnerabilities
• Manages, monitors, and directs proactive and reactive network
information protection defensive measures to ensure the
availability, integrity, and reliability of the FTN Must have excellent communication skills as the position requires significant coordination. Candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Basic Qualifications

Applicant should have seven to nine years of professional experience

Must have Secret Clearance to start

Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A and DoD
IAVA/M (Information Assurance Vulnerability Management)
policies and procedures

Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Certification

The candidate should have experience with technical skills
related to documenting system security engineering designs and
network information assurance

The candidate should have experience in the implementation
of information security policies; developing System Security
Plans (SSP); experience and knowledge of the following subject
areas
Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoDI 8500.1, DoD 8500.2, Common Criteria, and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP)

Experience with having technical skills and worked with:
fundamentals of network design and system engineering,
security practices and awareness of resources to secure
networks

Desired skills

Two (2) years experience as a DOD Information Assurance Officer/Manager experience and knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) 8500.1 Information Assurance, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), and Joint Air Force, Army, Navy (JAFAN 6/3 Implementation Guide) policies regarding Information Assurance. Knowledge of network design/architecture, desktop support, help desk, and asset deployment processes.
Successful candidate must be a team builder, and possess outstanding written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills

Candidate must be a self-starting problem solver with the ability to work with government civilian personnel in a potential high stress situation with limited supervision

Bachelors or above Degree in a technical discipline
