Job Details

Relocate to Misawa, Japan (2 years) following technical tasks in support of the F-35 Japan program:
• While this resource will continue to receive direction from LM leadership, he
or she will be competent to recommend or make decisions independently
• In-country support for Information Assurance (IA) and other technical
assistance for the stand-up and operation of the Japan CUI National
Network (JCNN)
• The JCNN will be a USG-accredited Japanese network extension from
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) existing Japan FACO network
• JCNN will support F-35 operations at Misawa and other locations in Japan
• Work closely with the Japan Ministry of Defense (JMOD), Japan Air Self
Defense Force (JASDF) and their subcontractors to ensure they comply
with the IA policies and procedures established for Risk Management
Framework (RMF) compliance
• Oversight over local IA compliance with cognizance responsibility to LM
A leadership and JSF Program Office (JPO) security. Mentor and
ensure JMOD understands and executes appropriate security processes
including Security Incident Response with root cause analysis and
corrective action
• Support JMOD in effectively managing their IA solutions, including HBSS,
SCC, ACAS, WSUS, TEM and ArcSight
• Assist JMOD in maturing an in-house IA competency
• Work closely with JMOD, MHI, LM and JPO to ensure appropriate
configuration control of the IT system landscape is maintained
• All changes will be approved by CCB and JPO
• Support the creation and maintenance of a NIST SP.800.53-compliant
RMF package with all required documentation to submit to JPO
• Coordinate directly with JPO and LM IA leadership to answer questions
and resolve issues as required to maintain JPO Authority to Operate
(ATO) status
• Follow up annually and as required to maintain ATO status
• Support Security meetings with JPO, JMOD, LM, MHI and Industry
participants to achieve common program goals related to IA

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications

• Information Assurance (IA) experience

• Experience working both independently and collaboratively in an International environment

• Experience with independent problem solving and effective communication of solution

• Experience implementing and maintaining compliance to IA policy and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements

• Experience maintaining configuration control for an IT system

Desired skills
The following skills are highly desirable:
• DIACAP- DOD [Department of Defense] Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process experience per DoDI 8500.2 or Risk Management

Framework (RMF) experience per NIST SP.800.53
• ArcSight or other SEIM experience
• Retina and/or ACAS experience
• Identity Management experience
• Network and server hardware experience
• PKI and 802.1x NAC experience
