Sr Cybersecurity Engineer in creation, analysis and interpretation of design artifacts for the development of certification and accreditation documentation supporting DoD RMF certifications. Hands on Systems Engineer with experience in requirements creation and analysis, Integrated Master Schedules, and Configuration Management. Experience in Windows and/or Linux operating system, unified and interconnected networks and systems administration in heterogeneous environments

This candidate will support Cybersecurity (IA) system activities on the F35 ALIS program. Primary responsibilities will be to support compliance with DoD 8500.2 and JAFAN specifications and intent and provide security engineering designs and implementation in all aspects of Information Assurance and Information Security Engineering in implementing cyber security in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), which requires System Categorization, Security Control Selection, Implementation, Assessment, Authorization and Continuous Monitoring. Develop, assess, and monitor required RMF documentation (SSP, SCTM, RAR, POA&M, IA SOP, etc.), policy, and procedures in accordance with DOD 8510, JSIG and other security directives as required.

The selected individual will be required to work with the hardware, software and specialty engineers as needed to ensure full compliance of all security requirements. Build, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows systems in compliance with DoD cyber security requirements, (i.e. DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides or STIGs), using SCAP Compliance Checker and DISA STIG Viewer. Ensure remedial actions are taken for identified findings and vulnerabilities. Assess and mitigate system security requirements definition and analysis and establish system security designs. Perform system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities. Candidate will work as part of security team to review and appropriately apply Secure Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) documents published by DISA IASE. The IA Engineer must be able to perform in a fast paced environment with multiple releases and multiple baselines

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in either systems engineering, computer engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, information technology, computer information systems, or related field and 5 years (or 3 years with a Masters degree) of professional experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting involving computer hardware and software.
The selected candidate must be a collaborative team player, have strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, and understand the importance of risk Management and engineering within a process oriented environment.
The candidate must be able to solve complex issues pertaining to Security controls on operating systems operation with little supervision.
Microsoft Operating systems, and Local and Group Policy and policy editor. The candidate must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
Experience and use of Software tools for cyber security scripting is a must.
Understanding of the CISSP Core Body of Knowledge. Familiarity with systems: Unix/Linux, Windows OS (XP, 7, etc.) Networking: DNS, LDAP, LAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, Active Directory

Desired skills
Experience with VMware and HP server products, switch hardening, Windows and Linux system hardening methods. One of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Working toward Associate Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
