Job Details

Candidate will act as part of the project team, and be responsible for providing cybersecurity engineering expertise for one or more components of the aircraft avionics mission systems.
Responsibilities include technical compliance of the component(s) and any associated technical artifacts. The candidate will work directly with integrated product teams to design, develop, test and integrate the component(s) into the avionics architecture, to ensure the aircraft complies with the customer’s Cybersecurity requirements

The ideal candidate will have a valid IA certification, in accordance with the DoD guidance. If the candidate does not currently possess a valid IA certificate, they will be expected to obtain one with six months of hire
The ideal candidate has previous cybersecurity engineering experience on aircraft avionics systems (hardware or software)

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

Desired skills
Familiarity with embedded hardware or embedded software design, development, and testing
Demonstrated technical expertise around cybersecurity engineering for embedded systems. Experience includes conducting engineering efforts around:
- Risk-based tailoring of the controls baseline
- Evaluating supplier designs for compliance;
- Developing security controls assessment plans;
- Conducting security controls assessments;
- Developing security assessment reports, residual risk assessment reports, scan reports and other certification artifacts;
- Developing and maintaining a POA&M;
- Working with embedded system suppliers to remediate weaknesses
