Job Details

This position is for an Information Assurance Engineer Staff working for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Information Security group. This position provides Information Security support and services to the Aeronautics Business Area and will be responsible for maintaining and maturing the level of information security and driving risk reduction initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Serving as a team lead & effective decision maker in order to provide guidance, direction, leadership, training, and mentoring to security engineers
-Identifying current and potential legal and regulatory issues affecting information security, and assessing their impact to the company
-Documentation and technical writing requirements (performing research to compile and validate data)
-Interfacing with Business Area management, Corporate Information Security (CIS) peers, and other organizations to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures
-Providing security oversight for new or proposed IT implementations
-Supporting other IPT’s as needed
-Supporting special assignments requested by customer leadership
-Working with elements within the Aeronautics Business Area, Aero IT and EBS as needed to ensure the security posture of the business
-Preparing security reports and presentations to both program/project and senior management
-Supporting flexible work hours, off-hours/on call/overtime
-Supporting business-required travel as needed
-Strong knowledge of information technology and information security practices, including:
▪ Working with new business contracts and taking a lead role in collaboration with LM personnel to identify, conduct, and lead the proper execution of any application/environment assessment requirements for LM Aeronautics within a specified period
▪ Conducting application/environment assessments for LM Aeronautics
▪ Conducting supplier assessments for LM Aeronautics
▪ Conducting site assessments for LM Aeronautics
▪ The ability to manage the cyber security analysis & assessment process for Fort Worth labs
▪ Conduct NEO briefings at the Fort Worth site

The selected candidate will work directly with LM Aeronautics employees, customers, and partners. The location of this position is at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility in Fort Worth, TX. Full-time telecommuting is not available for this position

Basic Qualifications
▪ Project/team lead experience including the ability to interact with various teams and stakeholders and effectively organize multiple priorities and actions
▪ Experience, familiarity and/or knowledge with computer security concepts and best practices
▪ Experience, familiarity and/or knowledge with networking, system administration and security best practices
▪ Experience working with Auditors
▪ Experience conducting technical security assessments
▪ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance

Candidates should have 12 -14 years of information security or information technology experience, be a U.S. citizen in order to obtain secret level clearance and bachelor's degree from an accredited college in
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber security, or related field is required
