The Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) engineering team in Owego, NY is seeking a strong technical lead in Security Engineering/Information Assurance (IA). In this position, the candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance to both internal and external customers as a subject matter expert in the areas of security engineering, security architecture, and Authorization and Accreditation (A&A). The candidate must be able to operate with minimal direction in a customer focused environment while demonstrating outstanding internal and external customer communication/relationship skills. With programs focusing on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, the Candidate must be familiar with both RMF and the previous DIACAP standards to support not only the internal team with the transition, but also the customer in the identification of security controls and acceptable program risk
As a technical lead, the candidate will work on multiple programs within the Owego facility, providing guidance to the teams during proposal and execution. These programs include Navy Helicopter (MH-60R/S), Presidential (VH-92) and Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) as well as a number of emerging new initiatives. Thus familiarity with aircraft systems and embedded systems is highly desired. Major technical responsibilities of the position include:
• Identify technical and operational requirements to support development of secure solutions and
• Evaluate security controls to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and standards
• Perform security activities necessary to support the A&A of software applications and evaluate system changes to assess their impact on security and the mission.
With much of the system integration occurring on site at the Owego facility, the candidate will on occasion support integration and validation of the systems in the labs. This requires experience with the scan process for validation and the associated tools, such as ACAS

The Locale: Owego, New York is located 15 miles east of Binghamton, NY and about 75 miles south of Syracuse, NY. Just north of the PA border, Owego is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier". The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours’ drive from Owego. Rolling hillsides, historic homes, quaint country shops, riverside restaurants, fabulous festivals and a beautiful river make this region a great place to live

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Must have CISSP or CISM certification
• Experience performing IA activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing and sustainment
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DOD) or Intel IA Programs and experience with employment of DoD IA requirements, policies, and processes to include certification and accreditation as part of DIACAP or RMF
• Experience conducting integration and system level testing on centralized security controls. Ability to troubleshoot the cause of security related issues discovered in the system test environment
• Understanding of Network Architectures
• Demonstrated experience with risk and vulnerability assessments and mitigation
• Understanding of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
• Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber/IA regulations and requirements to senior customers, senior LM leaders, and the program engineering staff

Desired skills
• Some technical knowledge of fixed wing/rotary aircraft
• Experience implementing IA/Cyber Security on avionics or mission systems and/or air vehicles
• Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems
• Experience with system audit configuration, capture, analysis, and risk reduction
