Reporting to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), the position has primary responsibility for the development and administration of information systems security procedures for classified information systems in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other customer-specific requirements. Specific duties include:
• Responsibility for interpreting and implementing agency and national department regulations and policies to establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive and compliant computer security program.
• Responsibility for oversight of destruction and release procedures for systems, components and media through application of test and evaluation procedures, configuration management concepts, and risk management.
• Partnership with system administrators to ensure compliant network architecture for classified systems.
• Development and administration of security procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents and equipment for major programs.
• Continuous research, study and implementation of federal security regulations that apply to company operations to maintain compliance.
• Perform computer security functions as assigned, including preparation of System Security Plans (SSPs), computer security briefings, computer/network security audits, inventories, virus definition updates, and assists the ISSM with security investigations.

This is a fast-paced, high pressure environment requiring strong teamwork, flexibility, customer service, communication, prioritization and organizational skills. Occasional on-site after hours support required for security investigations and certain system failures

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications Experience with NISPOM and JAFAN 6/3 guidelines, directives and security mandates
Experience with incident resolution, audit and log analysis and media and device control
Minimum TOP SECRET clearance
Excellent prioritization and organization skills
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills

Desired skills
4 years’ experience with Information Systems security requirements for SAPF and DoD areas
Final transferable Top Secret security clearance with Periodic Reinvestigation within the last 5 years
Previous experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
Security Certifications in accordance to DoD 8570/Security + or CISSP
Firm understanding of RMF/JSIG and corporate security policy and processes
Proficiency in Windows O/S's to include Windows 7, and Windows Server
Familiarity with LINUX/Unix
Able to obtain and maintain additional clearances
