Candidate will be supporting the Optical Components Center, Micro-electronics Center and Machine Operations in the role of Industrial Engineer Team Lead with emphasis on Manpower Planning, Capital Equipment Justification, Product Development & Proposal Efforts, Production Capacity Analysis and Process Flows to improve overall efficiencies.

Primary responsibilities include Resource Planning - Manpower Analysis, Space Allocation, Capital Equipment Forecasts and Facilities Layouts. Job assignments will include Lean Six-Sigma Leadership/Facilitation, Work Measurement, Cost Analysis and Material Handling Evaluation.

Work Measurement tasks include Labor Standards development and Operational Control Code analysis and structure.

Requires participation in Performance Measurement Teams, Performance/Cost Analysis and Leadership role in process improvements

Candidate must be able to effectively communicate recommendations to all levels of management via verbal and written correspondence.

Position may require limited travel, supplier analysis and assistance in Simulation applications

Basic Qualifications
Candidate required to possess the following skills/training/experience:
• Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
• Teaming Participation/leadership
• Process Improvement Leadership
• Work Measurement and Labor Standards
• Facility Layout
• Excellent Verbal/Written Communications Skills
• Ability to obtain a clearance

Desired skills
• Advanced degree in Manufacturing/Engineering field.
• Industrial Engineering Bachelor’s degree
• Production Scheduling Systems knowledge
• Lean Six-Sigma - Green Belt Certification
• Material Flow Optimization
• Shop Load Analysis
• Capacity and Manpower Forecasting
• Estimating to engineering drawings
• Prefer at least 9 years of experience
