Manages and directs a team of mechanical engineers responsible for the design, analysis, validation, and sustainment of training devices and automated test equipment. Candidate will perform in a significant project leadership role of a multi-disciplinary team on development of hardware while providing functional management of a staff of 14-17 mechanical engineers. Candidate is responsible for staffing projects, providing training, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures, and mentoring subordinates in technical problem solving and technical project support in a matrix-management environment. Candidate is responsible for partnering with EPM and IPT leads to ensure the financial performance of programs within his/her market segment, which may include control account management responsibility

Basic Qualifications
-Minimum of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace or similar degree from an accredited college with 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and project leadership
-Strong technical background in mechanical design and development of military products from initial concept through sustainment
- Experience using a PDM/PLM system to manage a hardware design
-Lead Hardware Engineer experience including developing and managing a project budget and schedule, managing risks and opportunities, managing to metrics, and coaching a team
-Proposal development experience including cost estimating
-Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, team-building, communication, conflict-resolution, and coaching skills

- Experience developing training products and Automated Test Equipment
