Job Details

The selected candidate will possess current S2E2 knowledge/experience. This position requires strong negotiation skills and entails cost and schedule management responsibilities for multiple projects. It is also expected that this position will engage in and be fully cognizant of the team’s products and services which are being produced and delivered to the customer. In addition, this role will be expected to have technical responsibilities on the HW team supporting the Infrastructure Lead in task execution. This position may have personnel matrixed to support the technical scope of task execution. This position will be assigned functional responsibility for 5-10 junior personnel and will perform the associated duties for leadership and management of assigned personnel. There will be responsibilities to ensure assigned functional personnel accomplish all company required duties in a timely fashion and flow information between his/her staff and his/her management

This position will play an essential role on the SBIRS Ground Segment Hardware Engineering Team and will be expected to engage in the management and development of personnel to include performing candid employee reviews/evaluations. In addition, this position will be responsible for employee selection/recruitment, training, mentoring, time charging review/approval, salary planning, promotion planning, recognition activities and in general, maintaining a rewarding and productive work environment for this team. Further, the position includes technical leadership and execution of assigned projects. The selected candidate must demonstrate the Full Spectrum Leadership attributes: Shape the Future, Build Effective Relationships, Energize the Team, Deliver Results, and Model Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability

The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet minimum requirements for access to classified information. The candidate must possess a current/active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access

Basic Qualifications

Prior Leadership experience - inside or outside of LM is fine

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Strong problem solving skills

Strong technical skills (either HW, SA, or NW)

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to easily convey information/data

Positive attitude, accountable and responsible

Current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI access

Desired skills
Familiarity with Space Ground Systems
Experience with Air Force Customer
Technical/management role on S2E2
SBIRS Program experience and knowledge to include Block 10
