Perform Hardware Engineering functions in support of the F-35 JSF Pilot Training Devices and/or F-35 ALIS as a Lead Hardware Engineer including:
• Lead and Support HW Engineering Trade Study and Vendor Support Efforts
• Lead and Support the development of new Hardware and Solutions, leveraging Pilot Training and ALIS existing architectures.
• Lead Proposal and BOE Preparation activities
• Lead and Support Design Reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR).
• Support production environment in researching obsolescence COTS HW to meet production requirements.
• Applies technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals or simulator documents, performs other duties as assigned.
• May be required to assist with installation, test, and maintenance of JSF hardware and software packages at customer sites.
• Leverages cabling schematics and drawings.
• Comply with site policy and procedures.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.

In addition, duties may include development of technical reports, plans, procedures for qualification test and evaluation of redesigns and prototypes to ensure compliance with customer objectives

Supports various F35 related programs as a Lead Hardware Engineer. Works with IPT teams, EPM and Program Office staff to meet all customer objectives and program milestones. Manages cost/schedule associated with the project, presents to leads and management program status, leads team in completion/closure of action items as a result of design reviews. May also be responsible for Control Account Management of complex programs of various complexity / size. Ability to support Proposal activities as the Hardware Lead / Architect and be able to coordinate inputs from multiple disciplines

This position may require travel to domestic and international customer/supplier sites

Basic Qualifications
Proficient with electronic systems schematic interpretation, equipment troubleshooting, and repair. Willing to lead & travel to support technical tasks, system installations, modifications, testing, and have a valid driver's license. Must have the ability to maintain a DoD Secret clearance and program clearances. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and Project. Possess good oral and written communication skills; and be self-motivated in performance of duties with limited supervision. Must be capable of establishing and maintaining a courteous relationship with all customers

Ability to obtain/maintain program clearances

Experience with product transition from design to test and production

Familiarity with requirements development//system verification

The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of product lifecycles and experience with technology insertion and/or refresh

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who has the ability to think creatively and define and communicate ideas to various stakeholder groups

Must have a final DOD Secret with an investigation within the last 6 years
years to be considered

Desired skills
Familiarity Digital Circuit/Logic Design (schematic), Processor/Firmware Design & Architecture

Familiarity with Test equipment hardware (Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) and software

Working knowledge of current public cryptographic techniques (AES, DSA, SHA, etc.) and certification requirements

Candidates to have excellent oral and written communication skills

Current knowledge of RMS process and procedures

Avionics design experience is desirable

A deep understanding of Training Systems and/or simulation architectures

A Hardware/Systems Architecture Certification or Qualification

F-35 Special Access Clearances
