Member of the Networked Training Center-Luke (NTC-L) hardware engineering team responsible for real-time flight simulation system and hardware engineering support. Will provide real-time hardware support for multiple components of flight simulators. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform fundamental engineering duties; formulating preliminary designs, performing tests, taking measurements and performing system analysis
- Design, build, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems
- Analyze, enhance, install, test, and modify enterprise-wide operational components for both new and existing hardware systems
- Develop requirements, work-flow, and systems analysis
-Correct hardware errors, prepare operating instructions, and compile documentation supporting hardware development
- Establish standards for development and maintenance of new and existing products
- Lead a team during the execution of engineering projects and changes
- When requested, assist with the support of the day to day training activities such as third person duties, cockpit reconfigurations, escort visitors/non-cleared personnel and correct failures that may occur during the Principle Period of Operation
- Perform as the hardware configuration management specialist and conduct the duties associated with the position; manage DCR progress and configuration and documentation changes
- Assist the logistics department in the computer tracking of the NTC-L inventory to include maintaining the tracking database

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in real-time flight simulation systems
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Complete understanding of electronic principles and hardware technology
- Good customer relations skills
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
– Customer oriented to interface with users and establish requirements
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, quick learner, excellent engineering background/skills, leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired skills
- Knowledge of aircraft systems
- Knowledge of Computer Image Generation and display systems
- Knowledge of the NTC-L flight simulation systems and techniques
- Knowledge of NTC-L hardware configuration management
