Job Details

(IFG) Singapore and TX programs as for the Fiber Optic Integration Lab (FOIL). Thus includes building, maintaining, integration and testing various racks of electronic equipment, which make up the IFG Line of Business. This also includes participation in Fiber Optics R&D projects. Will be part of the 24x7 Fiber Optic on call schedule, available to coordinate critical Fiber needs on a bi-weekly schedule. Task includes coordination with design engineers on both mechanical and electrical design drawings and wire routing list in order to fully understand scope of the project and do detailed planning of tasks. Provides inputs for engineering estimates and schedules. Daily tasking of SimSIL build technicians. Responsible for cost and schedule performance as it relates to MSIL build projects, attending status meeting and reporting on the projects to internal customers. Labs are a part of research and development, needs are often dynamic and ability to adapt and change to meet customer's needs while still maintaining cost/schedule is a must

Basic Qualifications
Posses a general knowledge of electrical rack build methods, ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics, work in process concepts , knowledge of simulation/test equipment (e.g. Simulated Cockpits, Computer Systems, Visual Systems, etc...) Possess a general knowledge of Fiber Optics industry standards and how they apply to military applications. Possesses knowledge of computer applications involving spreadsheets and/or databases and some Lead experience

Desired skills
Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner
Good Communication skills both verbal and written
