This is an opportunity to work in a SE position on the EADGE-T program as part of the hardware and fielding engineering team. This position will be part of the team tasked with designing the main command centers and over 300 secondary sites. Candidate will be responsible for the design and integration of the EADGE-T hardware and assets across a geographically dispersed area of deployment. Less than 10% of travel within the US and UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) may be required

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
The candidate must have the following experience/skills in Hardware Engineering:
• Min 5 years hardware engineering experience
• Experience with COTS IT Hardware (servers, network, and storage)
• Experience creating, modifying and maintaining system drawing packages (rack elevations, cable maps, interconnect diagrams, SWaP analysis, etc)
• Experience with Engineering life cycle processes and procedures
• Proficiency with PC based MS Office products such as Visio and Excel
• Possess good oral and written communication skills; and be self-motivated in performance of duties with limited supervision

Desired skills
• IP LAN/WAN Networking design
• Fiber Optic Backbone Experience
• DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Experience
• Hardware document control experience
• Experience in cable plant design (Fiber Optic, Ethernet, RF, etc)
• Electrical engineering experience like power analysis, power and signal cabling, etc
• Experience with managing and updating Bill of Materials
• Knowledge of component level environmental testing, Environmental test experience – Vibration, Shock Tests, Thermal, Humidity, Motion, dust and Water Protection, etc
• Experience working with rugged equipment
• Experience designing/architecting virtualized infrastructure (VMware)
