**Position Summary and Responsibilities:**
Responsibilities will include direct liasonship between engineering and operations / repairs to resolve design and manufacturability issues in production released product, design and release of enhancements to product to improve manufacturability, performance, or market differentiation.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include but are not limited to the following.
+ When escalated to engineering, lead debug and defect resolution in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing engineering, FAEs and repairs as necessary to ensure rapid closure of product issues that may be impacting revenue, customer satisfaction or competitive differentiation.
+ Review of engineering change orders (ECOs) in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing engineering, and production for accuracy, clarity, and compliance to process.
+ Review of new product release packages including bills-of-materials, assembly drawings, PCB layout files, gerbers, component placement, and production procedures to ensure that product requirements and established engineering process are compliant and that the product is released with high quality.
+ Design and release of enhancements to existing product to improve performance, usability, manufacturability, or product margin.
+ Evaluate obsolescence issues and recommend path forward via redesign, alternate components, or substitutions.
+ Delivers hardware designs through prototype, beta, and production release in compliance with product development process and quality practices.
+ Manage multiple concurrent projects across different departments within the company. Must be able to demonstrate multitasking capabilities.

+ BSEE/BSET degree with a minimum of 5 years experience with a combination of hands-on product design and/or sustaining engineering.
+ Recent experience within the last 2-5 years in hands-on electrical product design and an ability to take an electrical / board level design from conception to product release.
+ Experience with several analog/mixed-signal IC development cycles including design, simulation, layout and testing.
+ Experience with low noise amplifier, filters and power supply design.
+ Experience with design practices such as minimizing device mismatch, noise, and signal coupling is a plus.
+ Experience in board level analog and digital design for embedded applications utilizing microprocessors, DSPs and CPLDs/FPGAs
+ Experience with PWB layout, routing and component selection a plus.
+ Hands on experience with industry recognized MRP/ERP system in the management of bills-of-materials and Engineering Change Orders.
+ Working knowledge of board assembly manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing of board level and electromechanical products.
+ Hands-on ability to use common test equipment including DVM, digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer is required.
+ Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Candidate must be a “self-starter,” a strong team member, and requires only limited supervision.
+ Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills and a willingness to proactively collaborate to solve problems.
+ Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively.
+ Must possess U.S. citizenship or be a "U.S. Person". (A U.S. Person is defined as a person who is a lawful permanent resident “Green Card holder” as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101 (a)(20) or who is a ”Protected Individual” as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).)
+ Knowledge and experience in design for reliability/serviceability is a plus.
+ Knowledge and experience in component engineering is desirable.
+ Experience in leading structured field failure analysis experience is a plus.
+ Good knowledge of ADCP technology or Sonar experience is a strong plus.
+ Working knowledge of PADS schematic capture and PWB layout, AutoCad, and SolidWorks tools desirable.
+ Working knowledge of embedded systems software / firmware (C, C++) is a strong plus.
