Job Title:Hardware Electrical Engineer

Description:

Has part of the Product Development team, responsible for design, new products development, transition, implementation and ongoing support .
Applies engineering principles to the new developments and analysis for solution of technical issues related to the design and manufacture of high volume, electronic and electromechanical Line volt products.
This engineer applies state of the art knowledge in design of mechanical components and assemblies to assure high quality, low cost solutions.
Requirements:
- Deliver Mechanical hardware designs that meets requirements on time for builds
- Generate technical solutions for current, new and major programs.
- Perform complex stack up design analysis, material analysis, tooling selection and design for manufacture of line volt products for residential applications.
- Implement engineering changes
- Manage and approve component math data and engineering drawings with Pro Engineering CAD software or similar
- Solve engineering related problems
- Work with engineering functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and to support build programs
- Plan and implements test and/or development programs
- Release parts and subsystems for production
- Communicate information to and from internal and external customers
- Coordinate and consult with departments outside engineering
- Stay abreast of new technology and competitive products
- Travels as required (domestic & international)



- Bilingual English- spanish

- BS degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical or similar Engineering.

- Minimum 5 year experience in mechanical hardware product design

- Design, development, validation and release for high volume manufacturing

-Experience with UL/CSA/CE standards is a plus

Requirements:

- Be part of the Product Development Team of high volume line volt electrical products of HVAC controls

- Deliver Mechanical hardware designs that meets requirements on time for builds

- Generate technical solutions for current, new and major programs.

- Perform complex stack up design analysis, material analysis, tooling selection and design for manufacture of line volt products for residential applications.

- Implement engineering changes

- Manage and approve component math data and engineering drawings with Pro Engineering CAD software or similar

- Solve engineering related problems

- Work with engineering functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and to support build programs

- Plan and implements test and/or development programs

- Release parts and subsystems for production

Good project management skills is a plus

- Working knowledge of ECRO Change Management processes -

- CAD tools experience ProE preferable.

- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experienced in the use of MS Office suite, MS Project, Visio and Adobe Acrobat

- Strong multi-tasking/multiple project management ability; manage a diverse workload

- Abilities to excel in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment

- Ability to work independently, and within a global organization

- Organized and thorough in release of required documentation

- Experience with elastomeric, plastic components tooling, electronic components heat dissipation, LCD assemblies, thermodynamics heat transfer basics.

- Knowledge of Six Sigma/ DFSS a plus

- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
