Job Details

Lockheed Martin is looking for experienced Guidance, Navigation and Control engineers with an active security clearance to work on the development of high-performance missile systems in Grand Prairie, TX.

Skills and experience should include some or all of the following:

- Design and tuning of autopilots, guidance laws and Kalman filters;
- Design, coding, maintaining and running simulation models of missiles and their subsystems for 6-DOF performance analysis, trade studies, pre-flight predictions and post-flight reconstruction;
- Fire control algorithm design, engagement planning, engageability analysis and performance predictions;
- Detection and tracking algorithm development and verification

Applicants should have a solid understanding of flight dynamics and strong programming skills in C++, MATLAB or FORTRAN. Experience with guided missile systems is preferred.

This position is a relocation opportunity to Grand Prairie, TX. Relocation assistance is available.

Basic Qualifications

Experience with a high-level programming language such as Fortran or C++

Experience with performance simulations of missile systems

Strong math skills

Good communication skills

Ability to work well as part of a large team

This position is a relocation opportunity to Grand Prairie, TX and candidate must reside in this location. Relocation assistance is available.

Must have at a minimum of a secret security clearance

Desired skills

Familiarity with MATLAB

Familiarity with fire control sensors and algorithms
