Sikorsky in Stratford, CT is a currently seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Controls Engineer Staff with experience in Control Law Algorithm Development (CLAW).
The job entails System and Control Law Algorithm development, integration and testing. Support of the flight test and Handling Qualities (HQ) activities. The job may require a leadership role with project management responsibilities.
Qualifications include a broad background in engineering mechanics, flight dynamics, and simulation modeling. Candidate should have solid analytical, communication, organization, time management skills and a background in CLAW design, linear and non-linear analysis techniques, time and frequency domain analysis. Experience and knowledge with Matlab/Simulink is required. The candidate should possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, and work effectively in a time sensitive environment

Basic Qualifications
BS w/5+ years of experience in CLAW Design and Analysis
The candidate must have a broad background in CLAW design, linear and non-linear analysis techniques, time and frequency domain analysis.
Experience and knowledge with Matlab/Simulink is required
Qualifications include a background in control system architecture and design; Candidate requires a strong understanding of classical stability and analysis techniques in practical applications;
Candidate should possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, and work effectively in a time sensitive environment. Have solid analytical, communication, organization, and time management skills

Desired skills
MS w/3+ years of experience in CLAW Design and Analysis
Familiarity with modern flight control law architectures including Model Following fly-by-wire CLAWs is a plus
Familiarity with modern flight control law architectures such as Model Following and Dynamic Inversion is a plus
