Job Details

You will be an Integrated seeker with the guidance, navigation and control (GNC) systems of two (2) different unmanned air platforms . This includes writing all APIs required to interface the seeker with the platforms’ GNC systems. The two platforms should represent, in their flight characteristics, two of the following three types of PGMs: glide bomb, air-to-ground missile (AGM), cruise missile (CM). At least one of these unmanned air platforms should be an air-to-ground PGM (without its payload). The other platform may be a surrogate for another type of PGM but need not be an actual PGM platform. Demonstrate, in laboratory tests, correct function of the seeker/GNC interfaces. These tests may be (but are not required to be) closed-loop HWIL tests

Demonstrate, by closed-loop HWIL tests, an integrated seeker-PGM platform for free-flight testing

Demonstrate HWIL laboratory tests, baseline seeker function and performance meeting Phase 2 objectives, with imagery projected into the sensors and processed in real time by the seeker flight software

A Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineer assures that a platform is capable of finding its way to an intended destination and delivering its payload optimally. This is accomplished, in part, by performing Missile 6DOF simulation analysis and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) simulation analysis. Inclusive in this process is the development and analysis of guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms. In addition, development of simulation models and performing hardware integration is required. Performance verification and troubleshooting is also required. Target tracking is an integral part of guidance and fire control. The engineer will be responsible for designing target tracking systems which generally include target state estimation and target/detection association and assignment which is particularly challenging in surveillance systems

Basic Qualifications
Must have experience with feedback control system design and analysis and knowledge of basic aerodynamic principles.
Strong math skills are required in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, and trigonometry and coordinate transformation.
The candidate must have experience with state estimation filters such as KALMAN, Extended KALMAN filter (EKF) and multiple model adaptive estimation.
Experience in terrestrial navigation and navigation state error estimation is also required.
Must be experienced in MATLAB and C/C++ programming

Must have a secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years
