Job Details

Graphical User Interface Engineers to design, develop, integrate, test and debug graphical user interfaces and middleware for software engineering tools, sensor visualization, crew automation and robotic command and control. Candidates should have strong real-time multi-tasking programming experience in C/C++ and Linux environments; working knowledge of modern graphical user interface development and display tools; and experience implementing and improving GUI application framework features and widgets to support a wide range of applications. Experience with high-speed transfer and display of video data is desired. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot efficiency, stability and defects in real-time system software, and to support code development, review, integration, testing and debugging of system software is required.



BS or MS in an Engineering discipline or Computer Science degree with strong 6-9 years of post-graduate experience in computer software development preferred.
Strong programming experience in C, C++, Object Oriented Software and associated design principles. Additional knowledge of C++ 11, C++ Templates, and Python.
Core proficiency in modern GUI software tools (JavaScript, Qt/QML, HTML5/Angular JS, Flash/Flex, Bootstrap, Swagger, etc.), including experience with both embedded and web-based applications.
Strong knowledge of Debien and Ubuntu Linux, Linux scripting languages, Linux System Administration, compilation tools, and software product structures.
Working knowledge of Continuous Integration concepts with experience in the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence, HipChat, Bitbucket, and Bamboo) is preferred.
Working knowledge of OS Task scheduling for embedded systems, communications protocols, multi-layered software architecture (drivers, controls, presentation and application), and embedded development environments.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small team environment. Strong personal drive. Above average verbal & written communications skills.
Hands-on experience with real-world robotic applications is desirable.
