• We are seeking a visionary leader for the Global Positioning System III (GPS III) Space Vehicle Bus Products team responsible for the development, production and delivery of all spacecraft bus hardware and software.

• Responsibilities will ensure that technical and product quality objectives are achieved, while exceeding customer expectations.

• The job will require coordinating resources between multiple contracts and operating locations, and building partnerships with the functional organizations, such as A2100 Center of Excellence, Engineering and Technology, Operations, Business Development and Business Operations to meet contracted commitments.

• Responsible for achieving 100% mission success and fully utilize technical resources across the Lockheed Martin Corporation and teammate companies to achieve the Program objectives

Primary duties include:

• Manage the GPS III Space Vehicle (SV) Bus Product activities consisting of completion of non-recurring engineering and qualification activities as well as delivery of all Spacecraft Bus Products including flight hardware procurement/manufacturing and flight software development and delivery to Space Vehicle integration and test

• Primary customer contact for the SV Bus Products responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations, negotiating contract changes, and establishing mutually beneficial partnerships that take full advantage of all possible synergies, maximizing cost and schedule efficiency of the Corporation and benefiting the program

• Ensure risks are identified, tracked and mitigated

• Engage in active and transparent communications with all team members (customers, employees and subcontractors). Closely networked with A2100 Center of Excellence and EMF.

• Responsible for allocating resources and directing the work of team members across all sites

• Maintain a schedule with margin that is traceable both horizontally and vertically and assign all work scope to control accounts ensuring that each control account manager has full responsibility, authority, and accountability for their performance as well as a manageable span of control

• Responsible for all non-recurring engineering, fabrication, assembly and test of all component and subsystem hardware and delivery to Space Vehicle Integration and Test

• Responsible for all non-recurring engineering, development, and test of Bus Flight Software and delivery to Space Vehicle Integration and Test

• Proactively keep program executive management apprised of production issues/recovery plans, and employing positive interpersonal and communication skills that encourage and guide employees and advance teamwork

Basic Qualifications
• The successful candidate will have Program Management experience or equivalent, and proven prior experience performing complex Space Vehicle analysis and/or design and/or test tasks.

• Space systems management experience and prior experience performing detailed analysis and/or design and/or integration and/or test tasks.

• Must have hardware and software engineering management experience across a broad range of spacecraft products (e.g. Structures and Mechanisms, Propulsion, GN&C products, Avionics/Power/C&DH products, and Harnesses)

• Candidate must have experience working closely with both SSC production organizations (e.g. EMF, Solar Array, Propulsion) and sibling LMC production organizations (e.g. RMS Clearwater, RMS Owego)

• Candidate must have experience managing in both fixed price and cost plus environments.

• Proven track record of successfully partnering with supporting organizations including Engineering and Supply Chain to achieve common objectives.

• Experience developing strategies and relationships and operationalizing them.

• Proven ability to examine multiple strategic options and select a course of action and direction for future business requirements.

• Experience creating streamlined, agile execution plans and deliver high value solutions.

• Must possess effective executive level verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting internally (SSC executives) and externally (customers).

• Demonstrated self-motivation with a compelling desire to make a positive impact and the organizational/motivational skills to make it happen.

• Knowledge of the Lockheed Martin organization will be required, and the successful candidate will have a vision of the future and a sense of urgency to achieve it.

• Must demonstrate behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives of Shaping the Future, Building Effective Relationships, Energizing the Team, Delivering Results and Modeling Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability.

• Ability to obtain Secret clearance is required.

• Must have the ability to travel as required

Desired skills
• Past experience in Subcontract Program Management

• Red program management experience considered

• Air Force Customer Experience

• Past experience with the production of A2100 bus products

• Demonstrated sustained superior performance

• Experience delivering products with engineering on an "as needed" basis
