Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for the KF-X effort. This program provides technical assistance to Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multi-role fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea, and responsibilities include:

• Determining instrumentation requirements including sensor selections, instrumentation system design, telemetry data, development specifications and procurement of data acquisition system & test-aids
• Determining special instrumentation such as avionics ethernet acquisition, digital video acquisition and air refueling instrumentation system on tanker and receiver
• Technical assistance for the development of onboard & laboratory check-out procedures
• Support for mechanical & electrical installation design and laboratory operations
• Preparation for Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR), (related to Flight Test Instrumentation System Design)

In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and train and mentor customer engineers. Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Candidate must be able to relocate internationally

Basic Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in military aircraft flight test instrumentation
• Experience and skills mentoring and training other engineers
• Experience with system engineering principles
• Experience with coordinating engineering effort in an Engineering and Manufacturing Development program (EMD)
• Experience with development of Mechanical and Electrical system detail designs for flight test instrumentation

Desired skills
The following are desired but not required:

• 10+ years of Flight Test Instrumentation engineering experience on Fighter Program
• Be capable of performing sensor selection, instrumentation requirement analysis, instrumentation system design including test-aids
• Have knowledge of electronic & electrical engineering
• Have knowledge of IRIG 106 standards
• Have knowledge of Ethernet data acquisition protocols and ARINC 818 digital video standard
• Effective task organization skills with a background in data collection systems including data processing and display of recorded data
• Experience supporting data systems on a fighter aircraft in a developmental and/or operational flight test environment

Additionally,
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Experience with military or government programs
• Experience working with international customers, particularly the Korean Government or culture
• Experience with Export Control Compliance
