The Future Enterprise Program Systems Engineer will work closely with the Future Enterprise Program (FEP) Chief Engineer, Future Enterprise Systems Architects, and other Future Enterprise Program teams to ensure that the appropriate and necessary Systems Engineering tasks are performed in support of all FEP activities. The system engineer will actively work across the entire Engineering Systems Domain, which includes Systems Engineering, Systems Implementation, and Project/Systems Management.
A primary focus area for the systems engineer is the FEP system architecture, and will help document and maintain the Future Enterprise system architecture. They will work directly with FEP teams to ensure that all FEP systems engineering standards, processes, and conventions are adhered

Supports systems engineering activities for the Future Enterprise Program
. Accept and characterize business needs
. Support the management of the FEP technical baseline
. Support the management and grooming of the FEP backlog of work
. Support the management of the FEP Solutions Catalog

• Ensures adherence to FEP systems engineering processes and conventions
• Defines, maintains, and manages the content and organization of the FEP system architecture
• Ensures traceability between the FEP problem space, backlog, and solution space
• Provides Systems Engineering support directly to FEP teams (including BA-staffed project teams)
• Develop and mature FEP’s Model-based Engineering capabilities
• Accountable to the FEP Chief Systems Engineer for the FEP technical baseline and engineering processes
• Accountable to the FEP Chief Architect for the FEP architecture baseline
• This is a virtual position that can be locatedat any Lockheed Martin location

Basic Qualifications
• Prior applied Systems Engineering experience, using model-based techniques and tools on a development program

Desired skills
• The candidate should understand Lean/Agile concepts and practices, as applied to systems engineering activities
• The candidate should have T-shaped expertise across the Engineering Systems Domain, to include Systems Engineering, Systems Implementation, and Project/Systems Management(
• The candidate should have written and verbal communication and audience-appropriate translation (technical to non-technical, vice versa, etc.)
• The candidate should have experience in design, development, and sustainment of software systems
• The candidate should have experience in modelling techniques and approaches (Software, data, systems, etc.)
• The candidate should have experience in requirements elicitation, authoring, and verification concepts and concerns
• The candidate should be able to perform work without appreciable direction
• The candidate should be able to represent FEP, over time, as an expert on the FEP technical baseline
• The candidate should be able to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
