The School of Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada, invites applications for a faculty teaching position at the rank of Lecturer, starting as early as Fall 2017. The main responsibility includes teaching 5 courses per year, primarily aimed at analog and digital electronics and computer engineering. The ideal candidate would have a graduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a closely related area. If not already a Professional Engineer with APEGBC, the successful candidate will be required to fully register within 8 months of starting the position. Previous teaching experience, industrial design experience, and current Professional Engineer registration are definite assets. The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and outstanding communication skills as well as great enthusiasm for new course and instructional laboratory development. This position is available immediately. We expect to begin interviewing by July 17, 2017, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
