The FSO will develop, implement and maintain security plans, processes and procedures to comply with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) for a specified location and successfully pass required DSS security assessments. Perform security functions required by the SCI Administrative Security Manual and other applicable security directives.  This position will be located in Arlington, SD.

Essential Functions
• Provide day-to-day administration and oversight of sensitive and classified activities.
• Develop security plans, perform self-inspections, and maintain continuous control over all media.
• Ensure compliance with company and government requirements.
• Manage JPAS, Visit Requests, personnel security inquiries and e-QIP initiations.
• Update DSS databases including e-FCL, ISFD, and OBMS as required.
• Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254's, security guidance, and classified holdings.
• Conduct Administrative Inquiry investigations, takes necessary actions, and files paperwork with DSS and/or Agency.
• Maintain program documentation for DSS assessments and passes security audits.
• Support other security disciplines within the company Security organization to include: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Automated Information Systems (AIS) Security, Communications Security (COMSEC), Document Control and Visitor Control.
• Develop and revise security plans, procedures, instructions and educational material and conducts employee training to insure security plan effectiveness and compliance; leads Process Maturity Assessments for Security Key processes.
• Analyze RFP, Contracts/DD254s, and develop security responses and plans.
• Act as liaison with customer and subcontractor security offices on security issues.
• Oversee classified visitor and meeting activities.
• Assist staff with completion and submittal of SF86s, SCI nominations and special access packages.
• Investigate security violations and prepares reports for DSS and agency to include preventive actions.
• Conduct security briefing and issues ID badges, and hand carry credentials.
• Transmit and receive classified materials via mail, fax, hand carry, or classified network.
• Stay apprised of new regulations and security developments by participating in the security community.
• Provide administrative support to the sales team and office.  Complete facility related tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience, preference of 10 years, serving as an FSO or in a similar capacity managing all aspects of a DSS compliant security system; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active in-scope TS/SCI clearance.


• Experience developing and implementing security/risk management programs.
• Must be experienced with completing SCI nomination packages and coordination of indoctrinations.
• CSSO CPSO and security management software experience a plus.
• DoD 8570 Certifications a plus: Comp TIA Security+, CEH, Comp TIA Network +, CISSP, CSA • Significant expertise of NISPOM, ICDs, JAFAN, or other DoD Security Directives.
• Linux, QNX, Microsoft operating systems experience is a plus.
• ISSM/ISSO experience in accordance with DSS and JSIG requirements.
• Ability to identify and document unique system threats on a weekly basis.
• Ability to develop, implement and maintain System Security Procedures (SSPs).
• Conduct ongoing AIS security reviews and tests to periodically verify that security features and operating controls are functional and effective.
• Must be able to analyze problems and establish goals to complete objectives set forth by management.
• Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
• Basic IT hardware knowledge preferred.
