The Australian National Fabrication Facility Ltd was established in 2006/07 under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) Fabrication 5.4 Capability. With eight Nodes located around Australia, ANFF provides Australian researchers from both the public and private sectors with access to specialisednano- and micro-fabrication equipment and services.

About the role

  • $120k per annum negotiable plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • Fixed Term Contract for 2 years, with excellent prospects for renewal dependent on funding
  • Full-time (35 hours per week)

The ANFF Facility Projects Manager will provide expert guidance throughout the planning and implementation of research projects, with a particular focus on nurturing linkages with the private sector. The ANFF Facility Projects Manager will work closely with the ANFF Facility Business Manager to ensure that performance targets are met, and to engage in long-term strategic planning.



About the successful applicant

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and results driven individual. Your relationship building and interpersonal skills will support and complement this role as the key liaison point between research and industry-based clients and the ANFF-NSW Process Engineering team.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • advanced practical skills in a fabrication capability area, including micro- and/or nano-fabrication
  • extensive technical and management experience in a relevant public sector research environment
  • a PhD in a relevant field of engineering or science
