An interesting opportunity to work on the Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) System Engineering team. L&TS is responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive collection of systems integration and test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, Reprogramming Laboratories, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues.

This position is for a Senior Systems Engineering position assigned to the F-35 program team responsible for the development of real-time simulation systems consisting of avionics man-in-loop simulations. The primary set of responsibilities of this position include performing Laboratory system requirements derivation, requirements management and system design development, system integration, system requirements verification, system performance validation, and investigating laboratory anomalies.

The technical emphasis of this position is focused on the technical domain of Aircraft sensor sub-systems. Specific tasks include requirements management, test plan development, test procedure development, stakeholder and external team coordination, requirements verification, validation test execution, and validation analysis for sensor models and other simulation components in the context of an integrated simulation system. Close coordination with the product integration team, Mission Systems (MS) fusion and sensor teams, and F-35 Flight Test to plan and capture required information and data. This position may involve significant travel to the east coast to support integration and testing activities

This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided

Basic Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

-Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
-Experience in performing one or more of the following: system requirements development, system design development, system integration and verification, statistical analysis & validation
-Experience with complex simulation systems
-Experience with aircraft sensor subsystems
-Active secret clearance required

Desired skills
-Degrees preferred: Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics
-Knowledgeable using the following Tools DOORS, MatLab,
-Knowledgeable of F-35 Missions System Architecture
-Knowledgeable of F-35 Mission System Airborne Radar
-Experience working in a Laboratory environment
-Good communication skills both verbal and written
-Candidate has familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems, DOORS requirements management tool, and system performance analysis and validation.
-Has a demonstrated software or hardware development experience
-Strong oral written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
-Strong work ethic and self-motivation
