This is an opportunity to work on the Labs and Tech Services (L&TS) System Engineering team. L&TS a highly innovative team responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive collection of systems integration and test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, Reprogramming Laboratories, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues

This position is for a Senior Systems Engineering position assigned to work on the F-35 NIRL (Norwegian and Italy Reprogramming Laboratory) Project. The technical emphasis of this position is focused on the technical domain of Aircraft Radar sensor sub-systems. This position is responsible for the development of real-time simulation systems consisting of avionics hardware in-the-loop. The primary set of responsibilities of this position include performing Laboratory system requirements derivation, system integration, system requirements verification, system performance validation, and investigating laboratory anomalies.

This position’s physical work location will be split between Fort Worth, Texas and Eglin Air Force Base located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The work performed at Eglin Air Force base will be performed under the Extended Duty (EDY) polices for a duration of approximately 18 months, beginning second quarter 2018. Upon completion of the EDY assignment, this position will return to Fort Worth

This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires a Secret security clearance, with a current background investigation

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's or Master's technical degree from an accredited college or university
-Experience in performing one or more of the following: system requirements development, system design development, system integration and verification
-Experience with complex simulation systems
-Experience with Radar sensor subsystems
-Active secret clearance required. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Desired skills
-Degrees preferred: Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics
-Knowledgeable using the following Tools DOORS, MatLab,
-Knowledgeable of F-35 Missions System Architecture
-Knowledgeable of F-35 Mission System Airborne Radar
-Experience working in a Laboratory environment
-Willingness to travel and work at remote sites
-Good communication skills both verbal and written
-Candidate has familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems, DOORS requirements management tool, and system performance analysis and validation.
-Has a demonstrated software or hardware development experience
-Strong oral written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
-Strong work ethic and self-motivation
