This is a mid-senior level position

This position is located at Luke Air Force Base, AZ and supports the F-16 Program as the Information Systems Security Manager responsible for managing the day to day security activities of the F-16 Training Center and monitoring information system security tasks on assigned information systems utilizing Joint Special Access Guide (JSIG), DoD 8500 documents, F-16 authorization documentation and other related DoD documents in the F-16 Networked Training Center (NTC). Responsibilities also include developing system authorization documentation, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for complex simulation and training systems and operational systems supporting F-16 Pilot training and possible air vehicle support operations. The ISSM provides guidance to internal Lockheed Martin and Government customers on the multiple F-16 system boundaries at the NTC. The ISSM will conduct ISSO duties such as auditing and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) management or direct those actions to others.
Successful candidate must be knowledgeable of information technology security principles, COMSEC, Windows Servers/Clients, PC Desktops, LAN management, and Microsoft suite of applications. The ISSM ensures self-inspection reviews and system reviews are conducted on assigned systems. This is a multi-tasking environment that demands customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Mission requirements may require other than first-shift work.

Ensure compliance to governing documents and security policies and assist in regulatory periodic assessments. Implements and tests state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database solutions. Stays current with system vulnerabilities and provides current security training to all system users. Conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for secure implementation and compliance in accordance with government regulations and information assurance/cybersecurity guidelines. Creates, maintains and submits information system security documents and reports to regulatory agencies. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validates system security requirements definition and analysis; establishes system security documentation; assists with the implementation of security procedures; verifies information system security requirements; performs information system certification and accreditation planning, testing, assessing and liaison activities. Familiar with information system security architectural documentation standards. Able to apply information assurance / cyber security standards, directives, guidance and policies to an architectural/risk based framework. Provide architectural / risk based analysis of information assurance / cyber security features and relate existing system to future needs and trends and requirements

Basic Qualifications
1) Final Transferable Secret security clearance, last Periodic Reinvestigation (PR) must be within the last 6 years
2) Must have DOD 8570 IAM Level III certification before applying and maintain said certification.
3) Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access
4) Understanding of configuration management principles
5) Frequent use and application of technical principles, IA methodologies and concepts
6) Keen attention to detail and adherence to established security policies

Desired skills
1) Experience working in a military environment
2) Proven complex problem solver using ingenuity and creativity while working with a considerable amount of latitude
3) One year experience with the day to day operations of a pilot training center
4) Knowledge of multiple F-16 boundaries supporting academics and flying operations such as Unclassified Operating Environment, Classified Operating Environment, or Full Mission Simulators,
5) Prior experience as an Information Systems Security Manager
6) Ability to speak in front of large groups of people
7) Experience in pursuing, receiving, and maintaining an Authority To Operate (ATO)
