Join an elite research team developing solutions for the most challenging problems in quantum information science. We seek a Ph.D. in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with expertise in experimental quantum optics to conduct research and advise the federal government in all areas of quantum information science. Expertise in utilizing quantum optics for quantum computation, quantum sensing and quantum cryptography is preferred. The successful candidate will join MITRE's Quantum Information Science Group at our Princeton, NJ site office.
Key Functions:
Perform cutting-edge experimental work in quantum computation, quantum sensing and quantum cryptography using quantum optics techniques. Advise government customers as to the potential uses of quantum information. Explore other scientific areas that are of interest to MITRE and its sponsors.












 


 


Required Qualifications:
BS and 3 years related experience in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience in experimental quantum optics.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience (one or more years since receipt of PhD) in experimental quantum optics; specific experimental optics-based experience in at least one of the following areas: quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum cryptography is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS and 3 years related experience.
