The ERP Systems Engineer provides strategic technical and programmatic leadership to the Air Force ERP Program Management Offices relating to their respective ERP business applications, infrastructure, middleware and data architectures. The ERP Systems Engineer provides guidance and oversight to the overall design, development, testing, implementation and fielding of the various AF ERP solutions. The candidate will collaborate with various domains within MITRE and government organizations including functional communities, program offices and supporting organizations such as DISA and C3I&N.

Key Functions:

  • Provide leadership at the enterprise level by collaborating with the Program Management Offices, Functional Management Offices and System Implementers on acquisition, program management and engineering related activities. 

  • Provide architectural direction and thought leadership on Oracle EBS Reporting & Business Intelligence technologies, specifically Oracle Business Intelligence and BI Publisher.

  • Analyze functional requirements and existing system reports to provide design recommendations for future state reporting including operational reporting, analytical reporting, dashboards, and data warehouse structure.

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight in the software development lifecycle of Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows (RICEW) and Oracle e-Business Suite R12 module configurations. 

  • Collaborate with DISA and C3I&N to convey program requirements for ERP Common Computing Environment services such as Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Identity & Access Management, Oracle SOA Suite, or Oracle Development Tools. 

  • Ensure designs adhere to architecture and Oracle best practice development standards, including scalability and recoverability. 

  • Collaborate with solution, data, and technical architects to develop an integrated application solution. 

  • Provide advocacy for enterprise solutions that can be shared across Air Force programs. 

  • Provide oversight during government program reviews.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Significant Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) and Oracle BI Publisher is required.

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Enterprise application development, Enterprise architecture/infrastructure, Enterprise data management, Legacy system modernization/migration, Data Warehousing.

  • Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite technologies is required

  • Knowledge of Tableau/SAP HANA/Business Objects or other large vendor Business Intelligence technologies and software is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with data integration technologies such as Oracle Data Integrator, Informatics or other large vender data integration software.

  • Proven competency in Enterprise integration with 3rd party COTS solutions, Business Intelligence solutions, legacy systems, and Enterprise Applications.

  • Exhibit knowledge of Enterprise integration points and the order in which these must be executed. 

  • Hands on experience in using Project Management tools is a plus. 

  • ERP development life cycle experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of AF Cultural and Organizational Knowledge 

  • DoD Acquisition Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of Business Intelligence and Enterprise reporting technologies

  • Well versed in Oracle EBS Technology 

  • Ability to influence mid and senior level leaders toward Enterprise Solutions

Minimum Education/Experience:  

BS and 3 years related experience.
